Abigail Jean Orr...they say she is around 6 1/2 lbs right now. My doctor plans on inducing me May 5!! By then, she should be around 7lbs...of course, that's just an estimate and sometimes isn't that accurate. We got some kind of good pictures of her. This one shows the most of her face but her nose is a little smashed. We got some of her opening her eyes and looking straight at the camera!! It was kind of weird looking but neat! Tyler is so excited. His teacher at school says he talks about her everyday! Stay tuned for more pictures next week!!

Grandpa Spurgeon

One of the reasons we had such a great Christmas, was because we got to spend it with our family. This was our last Christmas with Grandpa Spurgeon with us. He got sick just before Christmas. We at first thought it was pneumonia but it turned out to be lung cancer. It was too far advanced when we found it and there wasn't anything we could do. He passed away a couple of weeks ago. I thought I would make a special Christmas picture collage just for him.

It's been a long time since I last posted anything. Greg has started school and has been on the computer a lot since all of his classes are online. He is thankfully done for this semester and now has only one year left from now. I am enjoying my new job and career. As you can see from the picture, my name is now posted on the side of the building...very exciting. I am currently around week 14 of my pregnancy. So far, everything is going well. We'll feel a lot more relieved after the holidays. We'll then be past the time we miscarried before.

Tyler has started another new school and is liking this one a lot better. He had a wonderful time trick-or-treating. We went to my mom and dad's house and he love seeing papa dressed up as a wizard and doing magic for everyone. I think he might have enjoyed passing the candy out with papa better than collecting candy.

Vacation

We recently went to Disney world and Daytona beach. The flight down there was the most miserable time ever. It went from a 5 hour traveling time to almost 24hours. Let me tell you...we didn't get much for all of our trouble. All of the delays were due to mechanical problems and then when they told us we might have to stay in Charlotte, they wouldn't even put use up in a hotel...AND we had Tyler!!! Needless to say, I was hot!! They finally got us on a flight to Orlando but we didn't get in to around 2am and then had to drive to Daytona (1 hr drive). We enjoyed our time at the beach. Disney was very busy and I don't recommend going in July because of it. We've been in May and it was much better in May.
I am now at my new job as a Nurse Practitioner!! I finished my first week. I take my certification exam on Wednesday...wish me luck!! Greg starts his new job (dream job) on Monday. He was finally able to find a job in Evansville as a geologist. After 5 years at this job, he will be able to sit for his certification.
Stay posted...our nephew visited for the first time and I'll post pictures soon.

We've had an excellent birthday/4th of July. For presents to each other, we went to the Kenny Chesney concert. We had decent seats in row 9 in the balcony area of a small arena. Our friends, Kristi and Danny, were there but had worse seats. Kenny Chesney was getting ready to come on and I see Kristi down in our section. She's telling me to come with her but of course I'm not wanting to go anywhere because it was getting ready to start. Then she started waving wrist bands in my face and that's when I realized, she got something special. So I went over to her and she had gotten passes to the sandbar down by the stage!! All 4 of us spent the entire concert standing in front of the stage. I was resting my arms on the stage!! At one point, Kenny was standing directly above me and my hands were resting on the stage between his legs!!! It was the best ever! Kristi got these passes when Danny had to go to the bathroom and she went with him. (Thank goodness for Danny's small bladder!) She was standing in the hall and a guy walked by and said "you look like you want to go to the sand pit?" Kristi of course said YES!! She then asked for 2 more for us!!! It was a blast! I highly recommend watching a concert from that view!

Jacob Wray Orr

Well, the baby was a baby boy. We found out the hard way. He was born June 4, 2008 at 7:10am and was 4 inches long. I was only 16 weeks along in the pregnancy. We named him Jacob Wray Orr, after Greg's dad (Gary Wray). They believe it was due to the virus I was exposed to early on in my pregnancy but they're doing tests to make sure it wasn't something else. We told Tyler we couldn't take the baby home and he was a disappointed but we told him we would pray everynight for God to give a baby to bring home. Besides having to tell Tyler, the worse has been having to spread the word about the worse week of our lives. So, if you know someone who knows us, please spread the word so that we don't have to. Big News x2!!!

For those of you who haven't heard, we're pregnant!! We're due November 20th. I am currently 13 weeks along and feeling better. I went last week for an ultrasound and it's a little early to tell but below is a picture of the baby sitting on the camera. We'll let you decide if you think it's a boy or girl!!
Second big news....I've graduated!! I walked through graduation on Mothers day, an excellent present! I am done with classroom work but still have several hours of clinicals to complete. I'll be completely done by July 11th. I have already lined out a job with a family practice doctor in Newburgh, IN. I was offered a couple of jobs in specialty areas but decided to go with the lesser pay and get a wider variety of experience. I'll probably end up in a specialty years down the line, but for now this is perfect for me. They're even going to let me bring the baby to work with me for while after it is born! Very perfect! They also have a play room for kids (like Tyler) for when he's sick or it's a snow day! I just can't wait, this seems pretty perfect for our family!

We'll let you know if the baby is a he or she sometime in June!! Make your guesses now!

Welcome Nolan Dean Orr

We would like to welcome to the world our newest family member...our nephew, Nolan Dean Orr. Tyler is very excited to have a new baby cousin! We can't wait to me him! Congratulations Tony and Stephanie. Nolan was born Saturday on his mom's birthday! Happy Birthday Stephanie and Nolan!

Happy Easter!!

We had a really great Easter, cold but good! Tyler went Easter egg hunting at church on Saturday and then Sunday morning the Easter bunny had left him a bunch of goodies. We went to church and watched the Easter program that Tyler also loved! I was then on-call the rest of the day and didn't get called in! It was a good holiday! I hope everyone else had a good holiday!

I have been interviewing for nurse practitioner positions. I have been lucky so far and a few physicians have asked for my resume. I was offered a position at a family practice office with a really nice group of people. We are in the process of considering the offer and looking for a new daycare for Tyler (when I leave St. Mary's I lose daycare). I'm hoping they'll reconsider and let us stay especially if I continue to work occasionally as a nurse there and I'll be admitting and seeing patients at the hospital. We're hoping it'll all work out!

Spring is just around the corner....right?

I know it's been a while since I've posted something. I have been under a lot of stress. I did pass my midterm with an A and I'm down to only one test left between now and when I graduate! I'm so happy to be so close!

This past weekend we took Tyler to see the Easter bunny and made snowmen all in the same day. It just doesn't seem right. A couple of years ago we went to see the Easter bunny in shorts, not this year! It's suppose to be warmer this weekend but it was only in the low 40's today and some snow is still on the ground in places. I hate winter and can't wait until summer! Look for more posts soon!

Grandma Mills

Please keep Greg's family in your prayers. We just found out this evening that his Grandma passed away. She was a wonderful woman and will be deeply missed by the whole family! We love you Grandma!

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday seasons! Tyler and us had a great holiday season! This was probably the best yet with him. He was a lot of fun. Everytime he opened a present that he had asked for he said "I must have been a good boy!" He really is a good and LUCKY boy. He got so many wonderful gifts from everyone. It's hard to tell what his favorite is this year. I hope this season was just as wonderful for all of you!

The Circus!

We recently went to the Shriners' Circus after Thanksgiving! Tyler loved it. It was the best year yet! Tyler said his favorite part was when "Spider Man was way up high came down and visited me and Uncle Chris." Uncle Chris also bought him an inflatable Spider Man which he loves! Tyler and I also got to hold a baby tiger! I have a picture of that too but couldn't get it to scan very well. My favorite part was the Kenyan gymnasts, they were amazing! We definitely look forward to going next year again! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!

We recently took care of my parent's cats for a week. Jules became quick friends with Lou. Our dog hates all other animals except for this cat. They were really cute. I've posted pictures of the cats and of our halloween. Tyler was absolutely adorable for halloween. This was by far the most fun halloween yet with him!!

We all went last weekend to see Granny & Pappy. Pappy took Tyler for a ride on his tractor just like I got to do when I was little. Then, we stopped by Great Grandpa Spurgeon's house where Tyler ran up the spiral staircase outside...just like I use to do! We had a really fun weekend.
